This guide will show you the versions of different devices compatible with the latest versions of the ExpressVPN app. The latest app versions come with security and privacy enhancements but may not be compatible with older device versions.

Windows

The ExpressVPN Windows app requires Windows 10 or above to run. Find which version of Windows you are using.

If you are using Windows 10 or above, use the ExpressVPN Windows app.

If you are using Windows 11 on ARM64, use the ExpressVPN Windows app for ARM64.

Mac

The ExpressVPN Mac app requires macOS 11 (Big Sur) or above. Find which version of Mac you are using.

If you are using macOS 11 (Big Sur) or above, use the ExpressVPN Mac app.

If you are using macOS 10.15 or below, we recommend upgrading to macOS 11 to use the latest version of the ExpressVPN app. If you are unable to do so, you can:

Important: The ExpressVPN app downloaded from the Mac App Store requires macOS 15 and above. If you are using a version between macOS 11 and 14, please download the app via the ExpressVPN website.

Note on macOS 27 (Golden Gate): ExpressVPN has been tested on macOS 27, and we’re not aware of any compatibility issues. macOS 27 is a new release, so if you notice anything unexpected, please contact the ExpressVPN Support Team so we can investigate.

The ExpressVPN Android app requires Android 7 or above to run. Find which version of Android you are using.

If you are using Android 7 or above, use the ExpressVPN Android app.

If you are using Android 6.0.1 or below, update your Android to download the latest version of the app.

The latest version of the ExpressVPN iOS app requires iOS 15 or above to run. Find which version of iOS you are using.

If you are using a compatible version of iOS, use the ExpressVPN iOS app.

If you are using iOS 14 or below, update your iOS to download the latest version of the app.
