This guide will show you how to enable/disable web search in ExpressAI.

Web search enables your chosen AI model to search the internet and summarize its findings when replying to your conversations and questions. Citations are included at the end of each response so you can review where the AI model has sourced the information from.

Web search is disabled by default.

How to enable/disable web search on desktop

To enable web search on desktop:

  1. Click the chat window.

  2. Click the globe icon.

Web search is now enabled.

To disable web search on desktop:

  1. Click the chat window.

How to enable/disable web search on mobile

To enable web search on mobile devices:

  1. Tap the chat window.

Web search is now enabled.

To disable web search on mobile devices:

  1. Tap the chat window.
